Early Years Pupil Premium

Early Years Pupil Premium strategy statement

Early Years Pupil Premium is received at the rate of 53p/hour. A child that attends for the full 15 Government funded hours would be allocated £302 for the year.

16-17 Academic year
The number of pupils on role on the September 2016 census was 92.
The number of eligible aged children on role was 56.
The number of pupils in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium was 23.
Anticipated funding for 16-17 is £11480 (anticipated 38 eligible children on January 2017 census)
This will part fund our Early Years Family Support Worker. Her role is to co-ordinate Our Early Help offer which involves supporting families in the Team Around the Child Arena and before that point. She also works with children who have poor language, confidence and self-esteem.
Attendance is one of the biggest barriers to learning and achievement. Part of her role is to follow-up on pupil absence and meet with the families and support them to achieve good attendance.
15-16 Academic Year
We anticipate funding of £9600, although this still hasn't been confirmed. This money was spent on the Early Years Family Support Worker. This money has meant that the position could be afforded and that parents and their children were very well supported during the year.

This strategy statement will be reviewed in the Autumn Term 2017-2018
