Teacher Training
Gainsborough Nursery School is proud to offer School Centred Initial Teacher Training. We work with Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance SCITT, who award the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the University of Lincoln who accredit the PGCE. Together these two organisations have an extremely successful track record of training teachers.
Our programme offers trainees the chance to become fully trained Primary Teachers. All students will be fully qualified teachers of the full 3-11 Primary age range with both a QTS and PGCE qualification. Training takes place within 3-7, 5-11 or 7-11 age ranges.
LTSA SCITT prides itself on the level of personalised support to each trainee. Our hub system means we get to know each trainee individually so our programme tutors and school-based mentors are able to fully support them across the year.
We work with the following schools who offer the opportunity to train in Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5, and 6)
