Gainsborough Nursery School is proud to offer School Centred Initial Teacher Training. We work with St George’s Academy Partnership, who award the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Lincoln University who accredit the PGCE. Together these two organisations have an extremely successful track record of training Teachers, 100% of trainees last year had teaching jobs for September.
Our programme offers trainees the chance to become fully trained Primary Teachers with a specialism in the 3-7 or the 7-11 age range. All students will be fully qualified teachers of the full 3-11 Primary age range with both a QTS and PGCE qualification.
One of the many benefits of training with us is that through UCAS you get to apply to a host school of your choice so you can choose a school that best suits your personal and professional needs. We know that for some people it is important that they know where they are going to be based to make their home/school life more manageable!
St Georges Academy Partnership prides itself on keeping the number of students in each cohort small so that the programme can be adapted to the needs of each student and tutors and mentors really get to know each individual trainee and are able to fully support them.
We work with the following schools who offer the opportunity to train in Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5, and 6)
Places are now available to apply for through UCAS using the codes 2W8S or 2W8T and provider St George's Academy Partnership.
